WhatsApp updated on the FAQ support page that WhatsApp will not run on a number of Apple or Android phones from next year and onwards.

In response to the FAQ, the company said that WhatsApp would only work on the upcoming version of Android 4.0.3 or more, and iOS 9 or later.
HTC Wish, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razr, and even Samsung Galaxy S2 are also included in Android devices.
These devices will no longer use in 2023 on WhatsApp application.
WhatsApp features will also be no longer available for iPhone versions up to iPhone 4.
Models released after iPhone 4, including 4S, 5, 5S, 5C, 6, and 6S, will only be able to run WhatsApp after their operating system has been updated at least iOS 9.
The older version of iOS models, the newly released iOS 14 only supports 6S, 6S Plus, and it also support the first generation iPhone SE.

Furthermore, WhatsApp advises that there are no ways to transfer your chat history on multiple platforms.
